This casual glimpse of a pair of Bluebirds is so typical. Eastern Bluebirds mate and they are most always close to one another. Whether you see the male feeding on mealworms in your backyard or flying around in the trees, you will see him accompanied by the female mate. Many times you cannot tell the youngster from the adult except for the fact the parent will be feeding the youngster. I have watched this many time on my backyard feeder.
