Sarasota Great White Egret
Framed
$3,200.00 USD
The Great Blue Heron is a favorite bird of mine. Here he stands majestic in the atmospheric light of sunset on the Last Wave of the gulf beach. My goal was to bring you closer to him for if you approach them they will fly away.
A relentless hunter, the heron usually stands motionless on the shore carefully anticipating a meal and will become very active feeding in shallow waters. Mainly a solitary bird except in breeding season these birds are wading birds and are common near the shores of open water and in wetlands over North America, Central America, and NW South America. A GBH stands 45-54 inches tall with a wingspan of 66-79 inches and weighing 4.5-6 lbs.
